Emergence is a painting about the state of becoming. I find the irony that change is the only constant in life bemusing. It’s like we’re in a constant state of flux, with some things manifesting while others fall away.
The mountains on the right of the painting and the flowing area in the center of the painting have solidified into the scene. The fluid center area represents the psyche and consciousness. The flowers are about growth and healing. I like to mix macro and micro elements to show the 3D world we experience and the tiny quantum world we don’t. The bubble with tree-like branches is an example of a macro/micro mix.
On the left side of the painting, jagged mountains and land are detached but moving into the scene to show things coming into being.
This painting comes framed with a double white mat, black metal frame, and tempered glass glazing.
