Vigilance is a reflection on trauma recovery. For the most part, I have found my inner peace, but even so, bits and pieces of hyper-vigilance remain. That is what this painting explores.

The figure in the painting appears to be in a peaceful and meditative state. Both eyes are closed, but a third open weary eye keeps watch. Flowers and vines in the painting represent growth and healing. 

This painting comes framed with a double white mat, black metal frame, and tempered glass glazing.
